The short answer
A PSA 10 is the top grade, and its price is usually well above the raw price of the same card. In U.C.M's data the typical gap is about 10× for Pokémon cards, about 7.6× for Yu-Gi-Oh! and between 2.6× and 4.6× for the other games.
What a PSA 10 typically adds, game by game
| Game | Typical PSA 10 price vs raw | Cards compared |
|---|---|---|
| Pokémon | 10.3× | 9,774 |
| Yu-Gi-Oh! | 7.6× | 2,697 |
| Digimon | 4.6× | 20 (small sample) |
| Lorcana | 4.2× | 300 |
| Magic: The Gathering | 3.4× | 1,355 |
| Dragon Ball Super | 2.9× | 530 |
| One Piece | 2.6× | 1,466 |
Typical = the median: half of the cards compared have a bigger gap and half a smaller one. Cards with a raw price of $20 or more and a PSA 10 price, from U.C.M's price data on 15 October 2026. Prices change every day.
How to read the table
- 10.3× means a PSA 10 copy typically costs about ten times the raw copy of the same card.
- It is a typical value, not a rule. Some cards have a much smaller gap and some a much bigger one — see the examples in What PSA 10 Does to a Card's Price.
- Digimon is based on only 20 cards, so treat its number with care. Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic and One Piece are each based on more than a thousand.
- We leave out cards where the PSA 10 price looks like an outlier (under 1.5× or over 60× the raw price).
Checking a card yourself
The typical gap says little about your own card. Before you send a card to be graded, compare its raw price with its PSA 9 and PSA 10 prices, and remember that grading costs money and takes time. U.C.M shows each card's raw price next to its graded prices (PSA, BGS, CGC and SGC) where sales data exists.
Questions
How much more is a PSA 10 Pokémon card worth than a raw one?
Typically about 10.3 times as much. In U.C.M's data on 15 October 2026, the median PSA 10 price of Pokémon cards priced at $20 or more was 10.3 times their raw price, across 9,774 cards.
Which game has the smallest PSA 10 gap?
One Piece. Its typical PSA 10 price was about 2.6 times the raw price across 1,466 cards in U.C.M's data on 15 October 2026, followed by Dragon Ball Super at 2.9 times.
Does a PSA 10 always cost 10 times the raw card?
No. The figures are typical values, not rules. Each card has its own raw and graded price, and the gap can be far smaller or far larger.
What does "typical" mean here?
It is the median: half of the cards compared have a bigger gap between PSA 10 and raw price, and half have a smaller one.
